Planning to sell house fast? Before turning over your property, be sure that you have properly disposed all your old belongings that you will not be using or keeping in your new home. And what better way to get rid of your old things than having a garage sale?

Everybody loves a garage sale. It allows your neighbors to get good items at a lower prize. So start digging your house and be surprised to find out that there are, in fact, too many items in the house that you can sell.

Start in your own room, more particularly, in your own closet. Take a look at your clothes. Which of them do you not use anymore? Take away the clothes which are too small for you or are just being ignored in the bottom of your closet. The same goes for your accessories, bags, and shoes and other items. Sell unwanted CDs, toys, and action figures that are no longer being used.

After organizing your room, look at other parts of the house to find other items such as the kitchen, the living room, home entertainment room, computer room, garage, and other parts of the house. To make it more fun, ask your brothers, sisters, cousins, and friends to join you. Aside from disposing your old items, you can even get extra income from items that could have already been junked.

In putting prices in your stuff, you can refer to the price in which you originally bought it and just subtract several percentages. You may also ask the help of some people who can make more informed estimation of the price, such as your parents and other older people. If you’re garage sale is large enough, you may be able to spend some money in hiring a person constantly in the garage sale business to help you.

Also, make sure many people know it. Spread the sale by word of mouth days before the garage sale. Give out flyers and posters which you can produce your own.
